New Muslim Corner

Assalamo Aleikum wrb
Becoming a Muslim was the best thing that happened to me in my whole life, and without doubt the best thing that will ever happen.  The realization of truth, the pleasure of submitting to the Creator, of joining the ranks of the believers, the family of all the messengers that came from the first till the last.  I knew it all along (fitrah) that God is one, that submission is required of a person, that no one can be worshiped but God, and that mankind will be brought to judgement in front of God.
However after becoming Muslim one is faced with so many challenges as Allah says in Surah Ankaboot
"Do people think that's it is enough to say we believe and they will not be tested.  We have tested those before them and We will test them to see which of them were truthful and which were liars".

As the prophet said: The closest to Allah are the ones who are tested the most.  The prophets were tested the most subhan Allah, and like the grinding stone, it either makes you or breaks you depending on what your intention was for becoming Muslim.

A new Muslim is faced with many issues, but one of the most important is the thirst for knowledge.  With the zeal of a convert one jumps in and like a sponge takes in anything and everything, which sometimes can cause damage.  The prophet again said: this deen is deep so take it slow.

This is one of the greatest lecture series that I have ever listened to.  I really fell in love with the prophet Muhammad sas over and over again.  I recommend you listen to this as it will change your life.  http://www.hoor-al-ayn.com/lectures/hesham-al-awadi/
